{"id":16163,"date":"2025-04-27T17:49:57","date_gmt":"2025-04-27T17:49:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.janasebestovaphotography.com\/?p=16163"},"modified":"2025-04-27T18:23:47","modified_gmt":"2025-04-27T18:23:47","slug":"siamo-solo-maschere","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.janasebestovaphotography.com\/en\/siamo-solo-maschere\/","title":{"rendered":"We are just masks."},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"16163\" class=\"elementor elementor-16163 elementor-16161\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8e7c119 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"8e7c119\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-62073bd elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"62073bd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">\u201cNice picture, but it's not me.\u201d<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-31e9235d e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"31e9235d\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6f2055d0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6f2055d0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n<p>We photographers often hear this phrase.<br>You put everything into it: your empathy, your knowledge of light, of technique, your humanity.<\/p>\n\n<p>You&#8217;re happy because you think you make the person in front of you charming<br>and&#8230; \u26a1\ufe0fpam: \u201c<em>Nice picture, but it&#8217;s not me.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n<h6><br><strong>Why does this happen?<\/strong><br><br><\/h6>\n\n<p>Each of us has a firmly created idea of <strong>\u200b\u200bourselves<\/strong> and seeks confirmation of this idea everywhere: in every photo of ourselves, in the mirror, in the reflection of a shop window we just passed, in the eyes of the person in front of us.<br>And if we don&#8217;t find this idea in the photos,<br>voil\u00e0: \u201c<em>Nice picture, but it&#8217;s not me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p><br>Do we forget that our idea of \u200b\u200b<em>ourselves<\/em> is strictly our own?<br>And that EVERYONE around us has their own, different idea of \u200b\u200bus?<br><strong>Everyone sees us differently!<\/strong><br>And the photographer will also give his\/her own vision.<br><br>In fact, when you look for a photographer, choose him\/her also based on his\/her vision of the world, because he\/she will create his\/her perception of you.<br><br>What does it depend on how closely we want to hold on to our idea of \u200b\u200bourselves?<br>How ready are we to receive new visions of ourselves?<br><br>It is directly proportional to our maturity, self-esteem, confidence and openness to be able to find in photographs an unknown person, more beautiful, uglier, more wrinkled, different from that dear idea.<br><br>How ready are we to admit that we are also that person portrayed?<br><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">My mission, in all my work, is to <strong>reveal to people something new<\/strong>: something they didn&#8217;t know yesterday, to broaden the possibilities of perception.<br><br><\/span>A portrait is an incredible medium, if the person is opened to get involved and not just seek confirmation of her own idea.<br><br><strong>Uncomfortable?
